Specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region are ready to work in conditions of bad weather

On 18 May, in several regions of Central Russia and the Volga region weather conditions deteriorated: heavy rains and thunder, hail, strong wind came there. According to the Hydrometcentre of Russia, tomorrow bad weather can affect new regions.

Natural anomalies also affected the regions of responsibility of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. At the moment, both companies are working in the mode of ultimate mobilization and are ready to eliminate consequences of possible technological violations.

In the Ryazanenergo branch of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, due to the worsening of the weather, a special mode of work has been introduced, involving full mobilization of forces and means. In the Lipetskenergo branch of IDGC of Centre, where bad weather is only forecasted, there is a high availability mode. A special control over the operation of power facilities has been established. An information exchange has been organized with territorial subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities. First responding and repair personnel have been mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, adaptations, overalls, provided with off-road specialized vehicles, prepared for round-the-clock operation in any conditions.

If necessary, the high availability mode will be promptly introduced in other branches. At present, in case of weather deterioration, a set of preventive measures is being implemented here. Continuous monitoring of the meteorological situation is being carried out, control over facilities of the electric grid infrastructure has also been strengthened and clear information interaction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, regional and local authorities has been ensured.

To eliminate technological violations in all branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, if necessary, 2,866 crews consisting of more than 14 thousand people, 5,164 automobile and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contractors can be attracted. They also have about 1,500 standby power supply sources with a total installed capacity of about 55 MW, which can be used for temporary supply of power, primarily to socially important facilities in the regions.
