27 April 2018

The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak presented to General Director of IDGC of Centre Oleg Isaev a medal of the Order "For distinguished liquidation of consequences of an emergency situation at fuel and energy facilities". The awarding ceremony was held on 27 April in the framework of the All-Russian Conference "On the results of the operation through the autumn-winter period of 2017-2018", organized by the Energy Ministry of the Russian Federation at the International Multimedia Press Centre MIA "Russia Today".

Conditions of the autumn-winter period of 2017-2018 sharply differed from those recorded in the previous similar period. In early February 2018, branches of Smolenskenergo, Tverenergo, Vladimirenergo, Tulenergo, Kalugaenergo were hit by the cyclone Balkanets. For two days in the regions affected by it, the monthly rainfall rate fell. According to weather forecasters, such snowfalls happen not more than once in a hundred years. Despite the most difficult meteorological conditions, the electric grid complex of the two companies worked in those days without serious disruptions. At the same time, a comprehensive analysis of the situation and additional technical measures developed and implemented made it possible to prevent the recurrence of the February events in the remaining winter months.

In comparison with the autumn-winter period of the last year, the failure rate of the 6 - 110 kV grid decreased by 18% in IDGC of Centre and 35% in IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. The average duration of power interruptions was reduced by 35% for two companies, and amounted to 1.62 hours for IDGC of Centre and 2.22 hours for IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.

Please, be reminded that in 2016 the powers of the sole executive body of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region were transferred to IDGC of Centre to implement the tasks contained in the Strategy for the development of the power grid complex of the Russian Federation. The decision was coordinated by the Board of Directors of Rosseti and approved at the annual meeting of shareholders of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.

In 2017, in order to increase the reliability and continuity of power supply for consumers in IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, the tasks on reducing the time for carrying out emergency recovery work were successfully accomplished. Optimization of the centralized emergency stock, reserve of sources of power supply was carried out. Operational and situational management of the grid complex of the two companies is already integrated and functions as a single whole. A corporate information system based on the combined resource of the common information complex was created.
