Hotline of power engineering specialists:
A two-day gathering of the youth of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region finished in the Tambov region. 120 power engineers from 20 regions of the country took part in the event, which took place in the format of the School of Personnel Reserve: teams of branches of both companies, made up of representatives of the personnel reserve.
This year, the gathering was held under the motto "IDGC does not know the word "fear" in the fight against losses in grids!". One of its central events was the round table "Electricity metering policy from ideologists", during which young specialists discussed with heads of the executive office of IDGC such an urgent topic for the industry as reducing losses of electricity in grids.
Ivan Zavalin, Head of the Electricity Metering Department of IDGC of Centre, Natalia Yakshina, Head of the Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Department of IDGC of Centre, Georgy Shirshakov, Deputy Director for Security - head of the security department of IDGC of Centre - Yarenergo division, Sergey Chertov, Head of the electricity metering section of IDGC of Centre, spoke to the reservists. In their reports, they touched on the issues of loss management, identification of "bottlenecks" in this direction and determination of ways to solve them. The key tasks in terms of reducing the losses facing Distribution Zones were also discussed.
Then the participants of the gathering, divided into teams, began developing draft memos to identify and isolate sources of electricity losses in Distribution Zones and organize and conduct work to identify, suppress and prevent theft of electricity. Another task was the development of proposals for the additional functionality of automating the database of the grid topology with the justification of what useful effects can be obtained by using it. The reservists of the gathering offered a variety of non-standard solutions, which were highly appreciated by an expert jury with the participation of representatives of IDGC of Centre’s management.
Also, within the framework of the gathering there were business trainings and team-building events, during which the reservists had the opportunity to improve their professional level and gain new knowledge necessary for effective work with consumers. Professional help for the young energy specialists was provided by professional business coaches.
Participants of the gathering, commenting on its results, noted its importance and usefulness in terms of replenishing the luggage of professional knowledge and skills.
"The gathering gave me an opportunity to assess my potential, take a look at the problem of combating losses of electricity from different points of view, exchange experience with colleagues from other branches, try to find new solutions," shared a master of the department of electricity metering and loss optimization of Kursky Distribution Zone of IDGC Centre - Kurskenergo division Alexander Barbashov.
"During the round table we got acquainted with various methods of work to reduce losses in electrical grids, fruitfully worked on the fulfillment of the proposed tasks. Many thanks to the organizers for inviting us to take part in this bright, interesting, creative event!" the head of the electricity metering group of Gorodetsky Distribution Zone of Balakhna Electric Grids of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region - Nizhnovenergo, Ilya Bateev, expressed the common opinion.
