Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division took part in the regional review of forces and means ready for prompt response in the event of emergency situations. The review was conducted within the framework of the staff training organized by the EMERCOM of Russia for the Kursk region to prevent and eliminate emergencies caused by natural fires.
The power engineers demonstrated modern equipment and specialized vehicles, used for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations. Including - an aerial work platform of high cross-country capacity, which allows to reach the most remote settlement in any weather conditions, a tractor with the help of which protective plowable strips are created around the territory of substations subject to the threat of fire spreading, as well as a mulcher used for clearing ROWs along power lines.
Summing up the review, the head of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region Sergey Sharov noted professionalism and technical equipment of the specialists of the Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre and thanked the enterprise for the smooth and prompt interaction with the department headed by him.
The Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre devotes the most serious attention to the issues of preparation for the elimination of consequences of natural disasters. The branch formed 106 emergency repair crews, equipped with 179 vehicles, including specialized ones. At the disposal of the power engineers there are 87 reserve sources of electricity supply, which can be used for temporary power supply to consumers, first of all - socially significant facilities.
