I congratulate you on the fifth anniversary of the company "Rosseti"!
Usually, on the occasion of such dates, it is customary to sum up, recall the work done, give estimates. I would like to talk about the future.
Our company today has tremendous opportunities and potential to make a real technological breakthrough.
Professional competencies and skills of our employees, production traditions and continuity, focus on results and readiness to implement the most advanced solutions are those integral components that we have to move forward.
Our predecessors and we have done a great job. Today, "Rosseti" operates in 80 regions, it manages almost 80% of distribution networks and 90% of transmission grids. We have an excellent base for further consolidation of the grid complex, using the scale effect.
We face enormous challenges! And we already need to think about tomorrow, about what will be the electric power industry in 5, 10, 50 years.
I want to remind you of the words of our leader, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir V. Putin, who pays special attention to issues of digitalization of the economy.
"Throughout the country, the electric power industry should switch to the digital mode of operation. With the help of the so-called distributed generation, it is necessary to solve the issue of energy supply to remote territories. It is necessary to implement new technologies for generation, storage and transmission of energy," the President stressed in his message to the Federal Assembly on 1 March 2018.
Digitalization of electric grids was proposed by the company as the basis of the new Holding Development Strategy until 2030. I note that we were the first to come out with concrete proposals in this field. And our ideas were supported by the leaders of our state. And this means that great and very responsible work is ahead of us.
Entering a new level of technological efficiency offered by us is an opportunity to meet the challenges of modern world energy and become the best electric grid company in the world.
I would like to stress once again that the future must be built today.
