IDGC of Centre in the Tambov region to increase the connected capacity of an enterprise of the agroholding "Rusagro"

2 April 2018

IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division is starting construction of power facilities for connection to the grid of the third stage of the pig-breeding complex "Tambovsky Bacon" ("Tambovsky Bacon-3"). The enterprise will ensure the supply of 7.4 MW of capacity to 12 new sites of the complex under construction in Zherdevsky, Sampursky and Znamensky districts. For this purpose, the power company will construct three double-circuit overhead lines (Conductors) of 35 kV with a total length of 54 km. About 290 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

Currently, specialists of the Tambov branch of IDGC of Centre are working on the design, preparation of the estimate and technical documentation and the coordination of the passage of ROWs of the power lines. Delivery of materials to the construction sites has been set up. Completion of all activities to provide power supply to the facilities of the third stage of the complex is planned before the end of 2018.

"Tambovsky Bacon" is part of the "Rusagro" group, one of the country’s largest agro-industrial holdings, which ranks the 4th among pork producers in Russia. This project has been implemented by the group since 2010, within which 25 poultry sites, a compound feed mill (a feed mill and an elevator), a slaughter house and a meat processing facility were built in the Tambov region. The production capacity of the first two lines of the "Tambovsky Bacon" complex is 120,000 tons of pork per year in live weight. Running the third stage will increase this volume by half.
