The V hockey tournament of IDGC of Centre finished in Tver

On 2 March, the closing ceremony of the V hockey tournament of IDGC of Centre was held in the "Jubilee" Sports Complex.

For two days teams of the branches of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region - Kalugaenergo and Tulenergo competed with teams of the Belgorod, Orel, Kostroma, Kursk, Lipetsk and Yaroslavl branches of the company for the championship on ice.

The undisputed leader of the jubilee hockey tournament of power engineers was the team of Orelenergo. The honourable second and third place was played by the power engineers of the Belgorod and Tver branches of IDGC of Centre. It was a spectacular and exciting game for both the participants and fans. As a result of the final match the hockey players of Tverenergo defeated the team of Belgorodenergo with a score of 4:0.

Members of the judging panel also identified the best players in various categories. So, the title of the best goalkeeper of the tournament was won by Vladimir Zolotov (Tverenergo). Nikolay Zaburetsky (Kalugaenergo) was recognized as the best defender. The title of the best striker was awarded to Alexey Filippov (Belgorodenergo), and the top scorer was Maxim Kharlashkin (Orelenergo).

Chairman of the Public Organization "All-Russian Electroprofsoyuz" Valery Vakhrushkin congratulated the sportsmen, organizers and fans of the V commemorative hockey tournament of IDGC of Centre. "It is important to pay attention to corporate cohesion of the team, and sports helps in this business, like nothing else. The real team spirit and the desire for a common goal are manifested in a healthy competition. Hockey tournament is a wonderful and kind tradition, and I hope that you will definitely continue it in the future!" said Valery Vakhrushkin.

"Today you showed a great energetic game. All without exception, the teams fought bravely and selflessly, as it is typical of real power engineers. I am grateful to all the participants, the organizers of the tournament and, of course, to the fans," Victor Ablezgov, Chairman of the Primary Trade Union Organization of IDGC of Centre, addressed to the audience. "I am sure that our hockey tournament will celebrate many more anniversaries, and we will meet more of you next year on the Tver ice."

The program of the closing ceremony was attended by creative teams of the city and skaters. One of the most striking was the performance of the pupil of the Tver sports school of the Olympic reserve for the ice sports named after Mikhailov Elizaveta Burtseva - the daughter of Anna Rubeko, a leading legal counsel of the legal department of Tverenergo. Participants of the event, as well as spectators, among whom there were invited veterans of the Tver energy system, were impressed by the played tournament and thanked the organizers for such a vivid and memorable sporting event.
