IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region on the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland to strengthen control over the work of the energy system

On weekends and holidays, from 23 to 26 February, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region will operate in an enhanced mode. Specialists of the two companies will ensure 24-hour control over the operation of the power system.

To ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers, the company took all necessary measures. Duty of dispatching and technical services, staff of operating and repair crews, operators of substations of branches and heads has been scheduled.

To avoid cases of interruption of consumers during holidays, the most reliable power supply scheme will be maintained: all types of work on the current equipment of power grid facilities have been suspended, except for restoration works, for which high-technology equipment, tools, materials and protective equipment have been prepared.

In advance, on the eve of the holidays, in order to prevent situations of power blackout, the specialists of both energy companies checked the technical condition of the equipment and emergency automation, the availability of emergency supplies of materials, and the readiness of reserve power supply sources. In addition, supplementary measures were taken to strengthen fire safety, the fire condition of production and household premises, auxiliary and subsidiary buildings and structures, mobile repair shops and crew vehicles has been checked.

For quick elimination of technological violations, in the event of their occurrence, in the power grid of 20 regions of the service area of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region a communication scheme and an order of interaction with services of the Ministry of Emergency Measures, territorial departments of Rostekhnadzor, executive authorities and local self-government, operating companies of Rosseti, other territorial electric grid organizations has been developed. The working readiness of all communication facilities and dispatching technological control systems has been checked.

If necessary, 2,817 crews consisting of more than 14,000 people, 5,148 motor and specialized vehicles, as well as contractors’ resources, can be brought to liquidation of technological violations in all branches of the energy companies. Also, at their disposal there are about 1,500 stand-by sources of electricity supply with a total installed capacity of about 49 MW, which can be used for temporary supply of power, primarily to socially important facilities in the regions.
