Smolenskenergo’s distribution grid operates in normal mode

4 February 2018

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division, despite the difficult weather conditions, have already restored power supply to residents of the Smolensk region, powered by its 6-10 kV grid. Work is being performed in local networks on requests of consumers.

Please, be reminded that a heavy snowfall and gusty wind that passed through the territory of the region on the night of 4 February, caused power outages in Vyazemsky, Gagarinsky, Temkinsky, Ugransky, Dorogobuzhsky, Yelninsky, Roslavlsky and Smolensky districts. The energy company reacted quickly to the situation. A special mode of operation was introduced at Smolenskenergo. In total, 78 crews of the branch and 96 vehicles, including specialized ones, were involved in the restoration work.

At the present time, in the territory of the region there is a stable minus temperature, ice remains on wires of electric power lines and trees, which creates the danger of new technological disturbances. With this in mind, Smolenskenergo continues to operate in a special mode. The specialists of the branch carry out continuous monitoring of the situation and are ready to react promptly to facts of de-energization.

IDGC of Centre operates the "direct line" telephone number at 8 (800) 505-01-15 or 13-50 for fixed telephones.
