IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region during the holidays to strengthen control over the operation of the power system

29 December 2017

During all weekend and holidays, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region will operate in an enhanced mode. Specialists of the two companies will ensure 24-hour control over the operation of the power system.

To ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers, the companies have taken all necessary measures. Duty of dispatching and technical services, staff of operational and repair brigades, duty officers of substations of branches and heads was scheduled.

To avoid cases of disconnection of consumers during the holidays, the most reliable power supply scheme will be maintained: all types of work on the current equipment of power grid facilities have been suspended, except for restoration works, for the performance of which off-road vehicles, tools, materials and protective equipment have been made available.

In advance, on the eve of the holidays, in order to prevent situations of power blackout, specialists from both energy companies checked the technical condition of the equipment and emergency automation, the availability of emergency supplies, and the availability of reserve sources of the power supply system. In addition, supplementary measures were taken to strengthen fire safety, the fire prevention condition of production and household premises, auxiliary and household buildings and structures, mobile repair shops and crew vehicles was checked.

For immediate elimination of technological violations, in the event of their occurrence, the power grid of 20 regions in the service area of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region developed a communication scheme and an order of interaction with services of the EMERCOM, territorial departments of Rostekhnadzor, executive authorities and local self-government, Rosseti, other territorial electric grid organizations. The working readiness of all communication facilities and dispatching technological control systems was checked.

If necessary, 2,817 crews consisting of more than 14,000 people, 5,148 motor and specialized vehicles, as well as contractors’ resources, can be brought to liquidation of technological violations in all branches of the energy companies. Also at their disposal there are about 1,500 stand-by sources of electricity with a total installed capacity of about 49 MW, which can be used for temporary supply of power, primarily to socially important facilities in the regions.

The Contact-Centres of the energy companies are ready to receive calls from citizens on a 24-hour basis via the toll-free direct numbers:

During the New Year holidays on the territory of the regions festive fireworks are organized. In this regard, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre of Volga Region remind once again of the need to observe caution and personal safety measures when they are in the exclusion zone of power lines and transformer substations. It is strictly forbidden to carry out socially significant events, mass festivities, the development of fires and the use of pyrotechnic products in the exclusion zone of power lines and near substations.
