IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region continues creating a single responsibility centre for the organization of reception and transmission of operational information related to the functioning of the power grid complex and work in emergency situations.
Starting from 1 December 2017, the functions of providing operational information on the state of the power grid complex of all branches of both companies are assigned to the operational and situational centre of the Department for Operational, Technological and Situational Management of IDGC of Centre (hereinafter referred to as "the Centre"). The composition of the Centre is reinforced by operators on duty, who have undergone special training.
Staff of the Centre of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region has been transferred to the Grid Control Centre of the branch "Nizhnovenergo" as part of the creation of the situation analysis centre of the 2018 FIFA World Cup (some of the 2018 World Cup matches will be held in Nizhny Novgorod).
Also, there have been changes in the organization of the work of the Crisis Management Centres of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region - on their basis the single unified Crisis Management Centre of IDGC of Centre has been established.
The restructuring has allowed to increase the effectiveness of making managerial decisions, as well as the use and coordination of forces and means in the liquidation of failures in electric grids of branches of the two Companies. Resources for the organization of emergency and recovery work have been almost doubled.
