Hotline of power engineering specialists:
IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division together with Orel State University named after Turgenev organized a round table for students of the 4th year studying in the specialty "Electrical Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering". The topic of the meeting was features of operation and prospects for the development of the electric power industry in the Orel region.
First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of Orelenergo Igor Kolubanov told the students about the establishment of the Orel energy sector, as well as modern achievements of science and technology implemented in the energy system of the region.
Much attention was paid during the round table to the current activities of Orelenergo and the company’s priorities for the future. Participants of the meeting dwelled in detail on such areas of work as dispatching electric grids, eliminating emergencies at power facilities, labour protection, new construction of electric power facilities and innovative development of the energy system.
The head of the HR department Irina Savelyeva answered questions of graduates on the prospects for employment in Orelenergo, personnel and social policy in the branch.
At the end of the meeting, the leadership of the Department of Electrical Equipment and Energy Saving and representatives of Orelenergo identified the range of the most pressing issues for discussion at the forthcoming round tables and approved the training program for the current academic year.
"Such events allow us to start training future workers at the stage of their studies at the university, to select and adapt promising students in advance, so that eventually they become a worthy substitute for the current generation of power engineers," stressed First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division Igor Kolubanov.
