IDGC of Centre’s specialists in the Kursk region took part in the regional review of readiness of forces and means involved in elimination of emergency situations

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division took part in the review of readiness of forces and means of the territorial subsystem of the Russian System of Prevention and Response to Emergency Situations of the Kursk region. The review was conducted within the framework of a training and methodological gathering to summarize the results of activities of management bodies of the civil defense in the current year and to formulate tasks for 2018. It was attended by power engineers, firemen, utilities, rescuers.

Kurskenergo was represented by a first responding mobile crew of Oboyansky Distribution Zone. The power engineers demonstrated modern individual means of protection against voltage, an auto-hydraulic aerial with increased cross-country capacity, a mobile diesel generator with a capacity of 30 kV.

Reviewing the vehicles presented by the power engineers, Deputy Governor of the Kursk region, Chairman of the regional security committee Mikhail Gorbunov noted that well-coordinated and prompt interaction of power engineers, other services and departments with the regional department of the EMERCOM is one of the important factors for ensuring the security of inhabitants of the region. While summarizing the results of the review, its organizers highly appreciated the quality of readiness of the personnel of Kurskenergo and the level of the enterprise’s provision with means and vehicles necessary to eliminate emergency situations.

Kurskenergo pays the most serious attention to issues of preparation for elimination of consequences of natural disasters. The branch formed 106 first responding mobile crews totalling 731 people, equipped with 179 vehicles, including 75 specialized ones. Also at their disposal there are 87 reserve power supply sources, which can be used for temporary supply of power, primarily to socially important facilities.
