Power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region brought to increased availability for work on holidays and weekends

Specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region on the eve of the Day of National Unity strengthened control over operation of power grid facilities in the regions of their service area (20 constituent entities of the Russian Federation).

The power engineers checked the technical condition of equipment and emergency automation, the availability of an emergency supply of materials and standby power supply sources. Fire and counter-terrorism security has been strengthened at power facilities. A clear scheme of warning and calling of operating and repair personnel has been worked out. Effective interaction with law enforcement agencies, unified duty and dispatch services, MES and territorial grid organizations has been set up.

For the entire period of holidays and weekends, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region will organize around-the-clock duty of responsible heads of the executive office, branches and production departments of the company, specialists of dispatching and technical services, duty staff of substations, as well as operating and repair crews provided with all necessary means and specialized vehicles. To prevent cases of interruption of power supply to consumers during this period, the most reliable power supply scheme will be maintained. All types of work at existing equipment of power grid facilities will be suspended.

In case of need, to liquidate technological violations in all branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, 2,817 emergency and first responding mobile crews can be involved consisting of more than 14 thousand people and more than 5 thousand automobile and specialized vehicles, as well as forces and means of contracting companies. Also at the disposal of power engineers there are about one and a half thousand reserve power supply sources with a total installed capacity of about 49 MW, which can be used for temporary supply of energy, primarily to socially important facilities in the regions.
