In October, the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students was held in Sochi. Representatives of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region took an active part in its activities. Young specialists of the two companies in the Rosseti team together with colleagues working in the leading sectors of the economy formed their own vision of a global future until 2030. And their members of students’ construction crews were among prize winners of creative competitions of "Rosseti", held as part of the closure of the summer work season.
The festival was held from 14 to 22 October 2017 and gathered 25,000 participants from 188 countries. One of the key events of the youth forum within the framework of scientific and educational directions was the "Industry of the Future" program. Representatives of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region took part in it as a part of the Rosseti team: the first company was represented by Vasily Merkukhin (branch "Bryanskenergo") and Yury Shevyakov (branch "Kurskenergo"), the second - Denis Sasin (head of the energy saving department, Chairman of the Youth Council), Evgeny Abramchenko (branch "Vladimirenergo"), Polina Matveeva (branch "Ivenergo"), Sergey Voronkov (branch "Tulaenergo"). Together with colleagues from Rosatom, Roskosmos, Rostekh, Rosneft, Norilsk Nickel, RusHydro and Rostelecom, as well as young engineers from 33 countries, they participated in educational and discussion activities, which resulted in the creation of projects to model the future until 2030.
"Our team presented a project dedicated to the virtual environment of full immersion, designed to simulate situations using artificial intelligence, Big Data technology, affordable genetic and medical analysis," Denis Sasin said. "It is, in fact, about the information-analytical system that can make up a psycho-emotional portrait of a person, to reveal his hidden talents, and on this basis to determine what knowledge and skills are necessary for him in the first place. It can be applied, for example, in the personnel sphere, helping employers to select, on objective criteria, qualified staff motivated by the result."
As a result of the work of the "Industry of the Future" stream, 300 ideas were selected that will be included in the encyclopedia of the event, and the top five will be included in the Memorandum of the stream.
"To participate in the "Industry of the Future" program, the best young minds of the planet were gathered, who, under the guidance of experienced moderators, developed ideas for the mankind development in non-standard conditions. They actively discussed completely different concepts - a healthy future, a clean future, a smart future. In the competition, the best ideas, included in the world youth declaration, were chosen. Participation in this program gives a huge emotional boost, after it you start to think that everything is possible!" stressed Yury Shevyakov.
Also, within the framework of the festival, solemn events, dedicated to the end of the season of students’ construction crews of the power grid complex, were held. In particular, the awarding ceremony for winners of articles, photos and video works that were conducted among the Rosseti construction crews, a creative festival of students’ crews took place, and an exhibition of wall newspapers and helmets was organized. Representatives of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region showed a decent result there.
The crew "Team of short circuit" of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division was awarded the third place in the category "Festival" for the performance, which included a video presentation of the crew, a song and KVN performance on the energy theme. Another students’ crew of IDGC of Centre, "12 kilowatts of youth" from the Lipetsk branch, became the fourth one. In addition, the Lipetsk representatives took the second place in the wall newspaper contest with the project "Template for eliminating the emergency situation on the 110 kV Overhead Line Verbilovo".
In the contest of photo works, two members from the students’ crew of the branch "Orelenergo" immediately distinguished themselves. Vladislav Ovchinnikov became the winner, and Pavel Dubinin took the third place.
In the collection of members of students’ construction crews of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region there are three victories in creative competitions. Members of the students’ construction crew "Power of current" from the branch "Nizhnovenergo" brought two of them to the company. The crew took the first place in the helmet competition, and its representative Alexander Borisov became the best in the "Power engineer’s selfie" contest (the second place is with Danil Girev from the crew "Anchor" of the branch "Kirovnergo"). Another success is in the collection of the crew "Potential" of the branch "Ryazanenergo": its member Pavel Novikov won the first place in the competition of articles.
