Repair crews of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division as soon as possible, working around the clock, fully restored power supply in all districts of the Smolensk region. This was achieved thanks to the professional and operational work of crews of the branch and coordinated actions of technical specialists. As it was reported in the Grid Control Centre of Smolenskenergo, as of August 01-30 p.m., on 3 August 2017, the power supply of the region was restored.
Please, be reminded that the night before and during the night of 3 August 2017 almost throughout the entire territory of the Smolensk region there were severe thunderstorms, increased south-west wind, heavy rains. Bad weather caused power outages in some districts. The centre of the region (Dukhovschinsky, Yartsevsky, Safonovsky districts), as well as Vyazemsky and Smolensky districts suffered most. The personnel of Smolenskenergo proceeded to repair and restoration work immediately.
32 repair crews were involved in the restoration work carried out in difficult weather conditions, involving 34 vehicles (including special ones). At the same time, all 162 crews and 180 vehicles of the branch were ready for prompt response. First of all, power was supplied to socially significant facilities.
Currently, Smolenskenergo’s technical services are completing the check of the reliability of the equipment, and continue to work on individual customer requests.
