IDGC of Centre summed up the preliminary results of the implementation of the program "Green Distribution Zone". For four months 11,215 employees of the company from all regions of its service area (11 subjects of the Central Federal District) representing 236 Distribution Zones and other subdivisions took part in its activities.

Within the framework of the program, 238 clean-up events were held, 28,810 trees were planted, 3,871 flowerbeds were laid out. On the eve of the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory, the power engineers beautified 192 memorials of the Great Patriotic War.

22 clean-up events on the improvement of the territories of the bases of Distribution Zones and sections of high-voltage grid offices were conducted by employees of the Belgorod branch of the company. In addition, they took part in a large-scale three-day action to clean up the left bank of the Vezelka River. Employees of the branch "Yarenergo" in early May went to plant trees. The events were organized jointly with the regional forestry department and covered all the municipal districts of the Yaroslavl region.

In the branch "Tambovenergo" within the framework of the program, a social action was carried out to improve the territory of the sponsored boarding school for children with disabilities in the village of Krasnenkaya of Tambovsky district. And employees of the Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre together with the project "Live Smolensk" organized an environmental campaign to collect used batteries for their subsequent disposal. In total, about 1,000 batteries were collected during the action.

IDGC of Centre’s program "Green Distribution Zone", timed to the Year of Ecology in Russia, was launched in April. It includes a number of activities aimed at attracting public attention to problems related to environmental protection. In particular, it is about the active participation of the company’s employees in the improvement of the territories in the regions of its service area: carrying out landscaping, caring for previously planted alleys in public places, as well as for monuments and memorials of the Great Patriotic War.

In each of the company’s branches, within the program thematic contests for the "Greenest Distribution Zone" and the best landscape design of production sites are organized. Their results will be summed up in August-September. The general results of the program "Green Distribution Zone" are planned to be summed up at the end of the year.
