On the eve, the teams of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region completed the first stages of the professional skills competition of personnel for repair and maintenance of distribution networks.
The first competitive tasks for the team of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo were the organization and carrying out fire extinguishing at the 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation. At the stage, the ability to act in an abnormal situation was assessed: quickly to clear the fire crew and extinguish the fire in the oil intake tank of electrical equipment. The power engineers performed the tasks assigned to them, earning 137 points. Today, the team of IDGC of Centre has to measure the dimensions in the adjacent spans of the overhead power line and measure the ground resistance of the overhead power line pole.
"This stage requires the demonstration of confident skills of operational activities from the teams," stresses Konstantin Nikolaev, the senior referee of the 6th stage. "Incorrect measurement or non-fulfillment of periodic servicing of the grounding device can lead to a decrease in the reliability of power supply to consumers, in addition, the risk of electric trauma for personnel and third parties increases substantially. The personnel of electric grid companies are obliged to perform such types of work qualitatively in the reconstruction of existing grids, when, for example, it is necessary to change the circuit for passing the power line ROW or as part of the implementation of grid connection measures.
A day earlier this stage was successfully overcome by the team of Kirovenergo, representing at the competitions IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, having recorded 199 points out of 200 possible. Today, the Kirov power engineers have to demonstrate the skills of working with the hydraulic lift, with performance of the primary connection of a residential house from the operating 0.4 kV power line. Also, within the framework of the Corporate Championship "Worldskills Hi-Tech" Vsevolod Azhnakin from IDGC of Centre and Volga Region - Kalugaenergo will install the 35 kV termination sleeve in the 3D simulation model.
In total, during the week the power engineers of electric grid companies from Central Russia and regions of the Volga region, among the 15 teams of Rosseti’s subsidiaries, as well as crews of the State Unitary Enterprise Krymenergo, Oil Company Rosneft, Oboronenergo, Regional Electric Networks and JSC "Grid Company" (Republic of Tatarstan), will participate in eight tests.
The results of the competitions, designed to demonstrate the high professionalism of the production staff and its readiness for any challenges of the modern world, will be announced at the closing ceremony of the competitions on 28 July. The winning team will represent the electric grid companies of Russia at the International competitions for repair and maintenance of equipment of distribution networks of national energy systems of the CIS member states.
