In the first half of 2017, the Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre provided electricity to 13 new small and medium-sized businesses in the Smolensk region. The maximum power of grid connection was about 1.15 MW.
In the first half of the year, power engineers connected a construction site of "Agricultural Enterprise "Mescherskoye" LLC to the grid and completed the grid connection of a farm with grazing cattle of "Bryansk Meat Company" LLC. The total capacity of the agricultural facilities was 160 kW. The implementation of electricity supply projects and provision of additional capacity of enterprises and facilities of agricultural purpose is carried out by specialists of IDGC of Centre in the framework of supporting development of the agro-industrial complex in the Smolensk region. Back in September 2014 IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division and the Administration of the Smolensk region signed an agreement on the implementation of measures to ensure reliable power supply and creation of conditions for grid connection to IDGC of Centre’s grids in the Smolensk region of food industry enterprises and producers of agricultural products The subject of the agreement is joint efforts and cooperation of the parties in order to support enterprises of the agro-industrial complex.
IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division also performs system-wise work to create conditions for development of housing construction in the Smolensk region. Specialists of the branch annually perform a large amount of work in the field of grid connection of housing construction projects. During the first half of 2017, four multi-apartment buildings of "Stroymontazh-S" LLC, "Daleps" LLC, "GoszakazConsult" LLC with a total capacity of 294.5 kW were connected to the company’s grids.
Grid connection of small and medium-sized businesses is under the special control of Smolenskenergo’s power engineers. In addition to the agro-industrial complex and housing facilities, the list of connected facilities during the reporting period has three stores, a production base, the branch also provided electricity to electrical equipment and lighting for part of a warehouse and laundry building, office premises, administrative and household buildings.
"Providing the necessary capacity for grid connection of small and medium-sized businesses, Smolenskenergo in turn contributes to the development of entrepreneurship in the region. Round-table discussions are held for business representatives on a regular basis, during which Smolenskenergo’s specialists provide comprehensive information on the company’s services," stressed Sergey Lapin, the head of the grid connections department of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division.
