More than 200 members of students’ construction crews started work at IDGC of Centre’s facilities

The fourth season of students’ energy crews of the Group of Companies "Rosseti" started at IDGC of Centre. Within one and a half month, more than 200 students of higher and secondary special educational institutions will work at the company’s energy facilities, comprising 15 students’ construction crews.

Students’ construction crews of IDGC of Centre will take part in inspections and repair of electrical equipment, checking and taking readings of meters, cleaning logging residues during clearing of ROWs and other work. In many regions, their place of employment will be large and significant energy facilities of the company.

Thus, part of the members of the students’ construction crew "Energia 44" of the branch "Kostromaenergo", which included third-year students of the faculty "Automation and electrification of agriculture" of the Kostroma State Agricultural Academy, will work at the 35/110 kV substation "Severnaya" in Kostroma, supplying electricity to residential micro-districts over the Kostroma river. In the branch "Lipetskenergo", the work places of the students will be, in particular, facilities of Lipetsky Distribution Zone, providing electricity for more than 50,000 people, as well as hospitals, kindergartens, schools, leisure facilities, and Zadonsky Distribution Zone, which supplies such socially important facilities as the district hospital, an ice palace, as well as residential houses, where 35 thousand people live.

On the eve of the start of the working season, all the members of the students’ construction crews passed their exams for the second group on electrical safety. And leaders of two students’ construction crews of IDGC of Centre, Oleg Andreenkov (Smolenskenergo) and Vladislav Timinskiy (Kostromaenergo), together with fifty representatives of other SDCs of PJSC Rosseti, were additionally trained in a special school organized by the Group of Companies in Moscow. During two-day intensive courses, the young people got acquainted with the history of the students’ movement and the peculiarities of work at power grid facilities, got an idea of ​​the corporate values ​​of the subsidiaries of Rosseti. An important stage in the preparation of the leaders were lectures, master classes and business games that helped them better understand the principles of managing subordinates, strengthen their confidence in their abilities.

According to Vladislav and Oleg, tours to power facilities of MOESK and FGC UES organized in the framework of the School became very interesting and informative for them, where they could see the latest equipment at work, including modern dispatch control panels. The key events of the School of Leaders in 2017 were the meetings of its participants with the head of the Central Staff of the Russian Students’ Squad, Mikhail Kiselev, and a round table with representatives of the management of PJSC Rosset, where they could ask all their questions.

An extensive leisure and educational program awaits the students of IDGC of Centre during the working season as well. So, for the members of the students’ construction crews Kostromaenergo will hold a team-building training, sports competitions will be organized, in which they will compete in different sports with employees of the enterprise. In addition, the students will take part in organizing and conducting route games on electrical safety, which Kostromaenergo’s specialists conduct in summer health camps.

In the Orel branch of IDGC of Centre, as in the past year, contests of posters, short stories and creative performances will be organized for the students. They will also take part in the rally of the young specialists of the branch and will visit the inter-branch hockey tournament "Kursk Bulge", which will gather power engineers from Orel, Kursk and Belgorod. And students of Lipetskenergo, in addition to participating in sports competitions and various amateur art contests, will visit on tours key subdivisions of the branch and the regional energy museum.
