Employees of Kurskenergo promptly restore the power supply disrupted by bad weather

On the night of 1 July to 2 July 2017, the Kursk region experienced a sharp deterioration in weather conditions, connected with the stormy front that passes over Central Russia. Thunderstorms, heavy rains, squally winds exceeding 20 metres per second caused power supply disruptions in a number of localities in some districts of the region. Belovsky, Sudzhansky, Korenevsky districts suffered the most.

Crews of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo promptly started to eliminate technological violations. The main damage to the grids was eliminated during the night. Currently, the work is close to completion, for the most part it is about the implementation of individual requests of consumers. 12 crews are engaged in the restoration of power supply with involvement of 12 vehicles. There are no social facilities among those affected by the bad weather.

Kurskenergo is running a high alert mode of operation. The operational situation is under constant control. The operational headquarters for the elimination of technological violations is in cooperation with the General Directorate of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kursk Region, its territorial divisions and executive bodies.
