IDGC of Centre assists in the implementation of the federal program for the transfer of schools to one-shift education

29 June 2017

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division in June completed the grid connection of a new educational building of the Snezhskaya Gymnasium for 500 training places in the village of Putevka of Bryansk district. To provide power to the new facility, the power engineers constructed 6 kV and 0.4 kV overhead power lines and a 6/0.4 kV two-transformer substation.

The grid connection agreement of the school building, concluded by Bryanskenergo and the district administration, provided for completion of all work until January 2018. However, taking into account that the commissioning of the facility is necessary for the implementation of the federal program "Promoting the creation of new places in general educational organizations in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation" for 2016-2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Program), the energy company completed it ahead of schedule.

The main tasks of the Program, approved by the Russian Federation Government in October 2015, are the transfer by 2025 of all pupils of Russian schools to one-shift training mode, as well as the transfer of schoolchildren from schools to new buildings of general educational organizations with wear of 50% or more. For this purpose, it is planned to create about 6.6 million new places in schools, including 4.6 million places for teaching children in one shift. IDGC of Centre takes an active part in the implementation of the Program, providing electricity for constructed and reconstructed facilities within its framework in the regions of its service area.

A number of schools that the company connects to the grid, according to plans, will take pupils in the coming school year. In the Tambov region, IDGC of Centre completed the implementation of grid connection measures for the reconstructed Oboroninskaya secondary school for 100 places and a boarding school located on its territory where pupils from remote corners of Mordovsky district will live. Both facilities are expected to be commissioned in the near future. In the Kostroma region the power engineers are connecting to the grid schools under construction in the settlements of Bogovarovo in Oktyabrsky district and Ponazyrevo in Ponazyrevsky district for 650 and 120 places, their completion is planned for August. A year earlier, specialists of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre ensured the power supply to a new school for 180 places in the settlement of Pavino in Pavinsky district.

In the Belgorod region the company provided the grid infrastructure of a new school under construction for 100 places in the settlement of Prokhorovka, which also houses a kindergarten for 80 children. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for December 2017. And the branch "Kurskenergo" plans to complete the grid connection of a new school in the settlement of Medvenka in Medvensky district for 650 educational places by September. For this purpose, a section of a 10 kV power line with a length of 0.65 km and a substation with two transformers of nominal capacity 400 kVA each will be constructed.

Kursk power engineers plan to implement another project until May 2018, it is grid connection after the reconstruction of Soviet general educational school № 1 for 374 places. Immediately two major projects are implemented next year by the branch "Lipetskenergo". It is about providing electricity for two schools being built in the Yeletsky micro-district of the city of Lipetsk and in the city of Zadonsk. Each school is designed for 800 places, work on their grid connection is planned to be completed in September and August 2018.
