IDGC of Centre in 2017 modernizes a number of significant power facilities in the regions of the Central Federal District

14 June 2017

IDGC of Centre continues to implement the activities of the investment program. This year the company plans to put into operation more than 500 MVA of capacities and about 3,000 kilometres of power lines. To implement the investment program-2017 it is planned to spend 15.271 billion rubles. About 60% of the investments planned by the document will go for technical re-equipment and reconstruction, 40% - for new construction and expansion of power grid infrastructure.

During the year the company plans to complete the modernization of a number of large and important feeding centres in the regions of its service area that was started earlier. Among them there are Belgorod substations (SS) of 35-110 kV "Pushkarnaya", "Malinovka" and "Belianka". SS "Pushkarnaya" provides electricity to consumers of the city of Stary Oskol, "Malinovka" is a key feeding centre for the localities of Rakityansky district of the Belgorod region, as well as enterprises of the large agro-industrial holding "BEZRK Belgrankorm". Reconstruction of the substation "Belianka" is carried out to improve the reliability of electricity supply to settlements of Shebekinsky district and the poultry factory located there, as well as to eliminate the power deficit after the planned connection to the grid of a branch of the poultry site and the incubation shop of another large agricultural enterprise of the Belgorod region -"Belianka" LLC.

The largest project for IDGC of Centre’s Lipetsk branch will be reconstruction of the 110 kV "Privokzalnaya" substation in the regional centre, which, in particular, supplies the Central City Clinical Hospital, the "Zvezdny" Sports Palace and the railway station. And Smolenskenergo’s specialists plan to complete this year work on a large-scale reconstruction of the substation "Vyazma-1". The implementation of this project, included by the regional authorities in the program "Development of the Smolensk region’s electric power industry for 2016-2020" will ensure the expansion of the market for electricity sales and connection to the company’s grid of additional capacity.

Among the significant projects of IDGC of Centre’s investment program, work on which will start this year - the modernization of power facilities in the Belgorod, Yaroslavl, Orel and Bryansk regions. In the Belgorod region it is planned to carry out comprehensive reconstruction of the 110/10 kV "Sheino" substation, which provides reliable power supply to over 4,000 consumers in Korochansky district, including populated areas, a melting plant, boiler houses, schools, water intake wells and new dairy farms of a large regional agricultural holding GC "Green Valley". The project envisages an increase in capacity and a comprehensive upgrade of all electric grid equipment.

In the Yaroslavl region IDGC of Centre’s power engineers reconstruct the 110 kV substations "Lugovaya" and "Yartsevo". Consumers of SS "Lugovaya" are residents of the municipal district of the same name and enterprises located there, in particular the "Volzhanin" poultry farm, one of the largest chicken egg producers in Central Russia. Work on the power facility will be completed this year. The substation "Yartsevo" located in Yaroslavl is a transit substation with the Kostroma power system and provides electricity to residential micro-districts, the Yaroslavl shipyard and sewage treatment plants of the city water utility, which are of paramount importance for the life support of the regional centre. The reconstruction is to be completed in 2018.

Orelenergo plans in 2017 to reconstruct the 110/10 kV substation "Volodarskaya", which supplies electricity to settlements and agricultural enterprises in the Orel region. Reconstruction will also be carried out at the 10 kV closed switchgear of the 220/110/10 kV substation "Mtsensk", the main consumers of which are the Orel-Kursk branch of the Moscow railway and a number of metal processing plants.

And in Bryanskenergo for the purpose of making power centres available, the expansion of the 110 kV substations "Dyatkovskaya" and "Bezhitskaya" will be carried out. Work at SS "Dyatkovskaya" is carried out to improve the reliability of power supply to consumers in Dyatkovsky district of the region. The substation "Bezhitskaya" is the feeding centre for consumers of Bezhitsky district of Bryansk. Work is scheduled to be completed at both facilities by the end of the year.

About 15 km of overhead and 1,5 km of cable lines of 10 kV will be constructed by specialists of the Tverenergo branch in 2017 to ensure the energy requirements of the section of the high-speed federal highway M-11 "Moscow - St. Petersburg" passing through Bologovsky, Torzhoksky and Kalininsky districts of the Tver region. With the same purpose 2 km of overhead power lines will be reconstructed. The power lines will connect power installations of the new road with feeding centres of Tverenergo.
