Head of the Tambov branch of IDGC of Centre Vladimir Syschikov given the award of the Russian Union of Veterans

Deputy General Director IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Vladimir Syschikov was given the award of the All-Russian Public Organization of Veterans of War and Military Service "Russian Union of Veterans" - Order "For Valour". The award was presented to the head of the enterprise by the chairman of the Russian Union of Veterans Mikhail Moiseev during the event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the organization that was held in the administration of the Tambov region.

Vladimir Syschikov was marked for his great personal contribution to the heroic and patriotic and moral education of the youth, rendering assistance to war veterans, rear workers, prisoners of Nazi concentration camps and perpetuating the memory of those killed in the defense of the Fatherland. On his initiative and with personal involvement, the branch held a number of significant events, including the "Tambov front-line" motor race - the Voronezh front-line event", in which veterans and combatants participated, the evening meeting "St. George's ribbon", a bike ride through the places of labour glory of Tambov enterprises, producing military equipment for the front "Tambov frontline", the action "Banner of Victory".

Tambovenergo pays much attention to projects aimed at perpetuating the memory of participants in the Great Patriotic War. With the participation of employees of the enterprise and personally Vladimir Syschikov, 38 memorials of military glory were built, reconstructed and landscaped on the territory of the region. Among them there is a memorial to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, erected in the village of Kovylka in Kirsanovsky district, a monument to crews of the 752 Aviation Regiment of the Long-Range Aviation in the village of Podvigavalovka in Gavrilovsky district, monuments to military pilots at the military cemetery of the city of Kirsanov and in the village of Sofinka in Umetsky district. This work continues today.

The Order "For Valour" was established as the highest public award of the Russian Union of Veterans. It is awarded for success in social and legal protection of veterans, active participation in the development of the veterans’ movement, patriotic education of the youth, for a significant contribution to implementation of the organization’s statutory goals and objectives.
