In the Tambov region a facility for growing and processing poultry meat of LLC "Tambov Turkey" was opened. The project was implemented by one of the largest agro-industrial companies in Russia PJSC "Cherkizovo Group" and one of the leaders in turkey production in Europe, Grupo Fuertes (Spain), the distribution of capacity to the new enterprise was provided by IDGC of Centre, PJSC. The opening ceremony was attended by Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District Alexander Beglov, Spanish Ambassador to Russia Ignacio Ibáñez, Head of the Administration of the Tambov Region Alexander Nikitin, representatives of the management of investing companies and the largest resource-supplying companies in the region. IDGC of Centre was represented by First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of the Tambovenergo branch Igor Polyakov.
"Tambov Turkey" is the only international project of this scale in the Russian agricultural sector. The complex with a production capacity of 50 thousand tons of turkey meat per year (in the future, the output can be doubled) includes an incubator for 5.6 million annual lay eggs, four growing areas, nine fattening sites, a feed mill with a capacity of 180,000 tons per year, an elevator of 90 thousand tons, a processing shop. To date, the farms of the enterprise contain more than 1 million birds.
IDGC of Centre provided the "Tambov Turkey" complex with the electric grid infrastructure within the framework of the concession agreement signed in June 2015 with the administration of the Tambov region, which became the first project of public-private partnership in the Russian power grid complex. To this end, the specialists of the Tambov branch of the company constructed 180 km of 6-10 kV power lines and 19 transformer substations of 10/0.4 kV with a total capacity of 33.7 MVA in a short time.
"Tambov Turkey" is not the only major and significant agro-project in the Tambov region, where IDGC of Centre participates in the framework of the concession agreement. The company also provided electricity to OJSC Tokarevskaya Poultry Plant. The complex on the site of OJSC Tokarevskaya Poultry Plant (part of the Resurs Group of Agro-Enterprises) includes an incubator, a facility of a poultry slaughter and processing plant, a feed mill, and fattening sites. Productivity of the enterprise with a full cycle of production will make 150 thousand tons of poultry meat a year, it will create more than 2 thousand workplaces. Power supply of the units of the poultry farm is provided through the 110/10 kV Substation "Factory" of the Tambov branch of IDGC of Centre, put into operation in 2016.
The Tokarevskaya Poultry Plant and Tambov Turkey projects, implemented with the active participation of IDGC of Centre, are of great importance for the economic development of the Tambov region, and make a significant contribution to the Doctrine of Food Security of the Russian Federation, the implementation of the state policy of import substitution and the program for the development of the domestic agro-industrial complex.
