IDGC of Centre continues implementation of the first public-private partnership project in the Russian electric grid complex in the Tambov region. It is about providing the power grid infrastructure for new large enterprises for growing and processing poultry meat, created on the site of PJSC "Tokarevskaya Poultry Plant" and LLC "Tambov Turkey". The work is carried out within the framework of the concession agreement signed by IDGC of Centre and the administration of the Tambov region. Its conditions are innovative for the industry, allowing to increase the availability of new power grid facilities for consumers while reducing risks of the project implementation.
The vertically integrated poultry facility on the site of OJSC Tokarevskaya poultry farm (part of the Resurs Group of Agro-Enterprises) includes an incubator, a poultry slaughter and processing plant, a feed mill, and fattening sites. Productivity of the enterprise with a full cycle of production will make 150 thousand tons of poultry meat a year, more than 2 thousand workplaces will be created at it. From January to April 2017 IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division performed grid connection of three poultry fattening sites with a total capacity of 3.6 MW. The remaining three of the seven sites will be connected to the company’s grids as they complete their construction this year. The power supply of the units of the poultry farm is provided through the 110/10 kV Substation "Factory" of Tambovenergo, put into operation in 2016. In the autumn of 2016, IDGC of Centre provided capacity to an incubator of the Tokarevskaya Poultry Plant with a production capacity of 105 million eggs a year - the largest in the country.
At the Tambov Turkey facilities in the first quarter the Tambov branch of IDGC of Centre connected to the grid feeding sites No. 6 and No. 7 and a slaughterhouse with a total capacity of 1.44 MW. The remaining facilities - feeding sites Nos. 8 and 9 will be connected as they are completed by the end of 2017. The project of building a facility for growing and processing turkey LLC "Tambov Turkey" is implemented by the largest agro-industrial company of Russia PJSC "Cherkizovo Group" and one of the leaders in the production of turkey in Europe, the company Grupo Fuertes (Spain). Its electricity supply was provided by IDGC of Centre back in 2015, having commissioned about 180 km of 6-10 kV power lines and 19 transformer substations of 10/0.4 kV with a total capacity of 33.7 MVA. The facility will include an incubator, a feed mill, four growing sites, a slaughterhouse, modern warehouses and sanitary checkpoints.
The Tokarevskaya Poultry Farm and Tambov Turkey projects, implemented with the active participation of IDGC of Centre, are of great importance for the economic development of the Tambov region, and make a significant contribution to the Doctrine of Food Security of the Russian Federation, the implementation of the state policy of import substitution and the program for the development of the domestic agro-industrial complex.
