Moscow Region Governor expressed gratitude to the energy sector for the elimination of consequences of "freezing rain"

Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov sent a letter addressed to Director General of PJSC "Rosseti" Oleg Budargin in which he expressed gratitude to the management and employees of companies belonging to PJSC "Rosseti" for effective work to restore electricity supply in the Moscow region, interrupted as a result of bad weather ("freezing rain") on 11 November 2016.

"Despite the difficult weather conditions, the power engineers of subsidiaries of PJSC "Rosseti" carried out round the clock work on the restoration of damaged poles and power lines, removing icy trees, clearing ROWs. Considerable assistance was provided by first responding and restoration crews from: IDGC of Centre, IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, IDGC of Urals, IDGC of North-West, IDGC of South, IDGC of Volga, Kubanenergo," the letter says.

IDGC of Centre sent 13 crews from the branches of Belgorodenergo, Orelenergo, Smolenskenergo and Yarenergo for assistance of colleagues from MOESK in restoring power supply in the Moscow region. The crews of IDGC of Centre gained extensive experience in liquidation of consequences of emergency situations of natural character. The crews were fully equipped with means and equipment for conducting first responding and restoration operations. The company’s staff moves with crew vehicles that provide sleeping space for relaxing, eating, with heating and ventilation systems installed. This allowed the power engineers of IDGC of Centre to work around the clock without breaks.
