The football team of IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division became the champion of the Kursk region in 2016. Having won eighteen out of twenty matches, the power engineers secured their victory after three rounds before the end of the championship. They won the title of the strongest in the region for the third time.
Great contribution to the success of the team of Kurskenergo was made by workers for complex service and repair of buildings of the administrative and economic department Dmitry Belykh, who impeccably played in defense and Ruslan Safarov, reliably keeping goal. Another worker of the administrative and economic department Anton Tonkikh traditionally played strongly in the attack: his credit of this season is 22 goals.
The football team of Kurskenergo, created in 2003, regularly presents the company in sports competions of various levels, adding to their winning collection new diplomas and cups. In addition to the regional championship, it won the Kursk Region Cup in football and futsal three times, and in 2015 became the champion of the city of Kursk. Kurskenergo’s representatives make a significant contribution to the sporting successes of IDGC of Centre. In 2016, as a part of the football team of IDGC of Centre, they won the 1st place at the VII International Energy Cup in mini-football and 3rd place at the I Cup of PJSC "Rosseti".
