Specialists of IDGC of Centre held a workshop for students of the National Research University "MPEI" on the topic "Production asset management system".
Currently at the Department of Engineering and Electrophysics of high voltages of NRU "MPEI" for graduate trainees under the program "Project management in the electric power industry" the course is taught on "Operation of high-voltage electrical equipment", which for the first time provides for a practical lesson on "Production asset management system".
National Research University "MPEI" sent a request to IDGC of Centre for practical training for the students, since the company had created the first in the grid complex of Russia and one of the most effective systems for asset management.
The result of this system implementation in IDGC of Centre was the development and realization of innovative methods of performance management in terms of organization and implementation of production programs, taking into account the technical condition and consequences of failure of power grid facilities.
The production asset management system in IDGC of Centre allows to solve an important set of issues for the company, such as the formation of a unified and accurate database of electric grid facilities, including the data of diagnostic measurements, defects and hazards; automation of planning and control of production programs of branches; identification of "bottlenecks" for development of targeted programs and individual measures that increase the reliability of the electric grid complex; monitoring and analysis of impact of implementation of the targeted programs to improve reliability; automation of transparent and reliable reporting on the implementation of key business processes of IDGC of Centre.
The purpose of the asset management system implementation in IDGC of Centre was the need for an effective instrument to optimize planning of production programs of the company, distribution of funds for execution of programs to improve the reliability of power supply to consumers, evaluation of performance of the grid complex.
In the corporate resource management information system there are entered and constantly updated data on more than 16.8 million pieces of equipment, 27 million of functional locations, 370 million measurements, 2.6 million reports of defects, more than 9 thousand users are connected to the system. It is worth noting that since 2010 IDGC of Centre - for the first time in the Russian energy grid industry - has formed a program of repair and maintenance of electrical equipment in view of its technical condition and consequences of failure.
As noted by First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin, one of the main effects of the application of this system in the company is to ensure a sufficient level of reliability of electricity supply to consumers in terms of cost optimization for maintenance of electric grids when there are tariff constraints.
In turn, Chair of the Department Engineering and Electrophysics of high voltages of NRU "MPEI" Sergey Khrenov thanked IDGC of Centre for the possibility of such an event and noted the necessity and importance of such lectures for students in terms of exploring the real production.
