Gennady Kovalenko, a driver of the Northern section of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division, was awarded the medal "For Service to the Motherland" of degree II. The corresponding Decree was signed 22 October 2015 by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. As noted in the document, the state award was given to the power engineer for achievements in labour, social activities and many years of honest work.
Gennady Kovalenko has been working at "Kurskenergo" for over 30 years. With his direct participation in the Kursk region more than 350 km of power lines of different voltage classes were constructed, built 422 transformer substations were installed. Gennady took part in elimination of consequences of emergency situations related to weather anomalies. He is distinguished with high professionalism, the ability to quickly and efficiently perform tasks of any complexity.
In total, since last year 13 employees of IDGC of Centre have been given the state awards of the Russian Federation.
