Head of "Rosseti" checked the readiness of the central regions of the country for the winter

General Director of PJSC "Rosseti" Oleg Budargin held a meeting on the preparations of the electric grid complex of the subsidiary company IDGC of Centre for the upcoming autumn-winter operation period of 2015-2016.

In the service area of IDGC of Centre there are 11 subjects of the Russian Federation with a total population of over 13 million people.

During the event IDGC of Centre’s management reported that preparations for the autumn-winter peak load in IDGC of Centre have entered its final phase. The company is completing the implementation of the major activities of the repair program, and its branches have started the second phase of the internal check, anticipating obtaining a certificate of readiness for the autumn-winter operation period of 2015-2016.

The bulk of the work as provided for by the repair program has already been completed by IDGC of Centre. The company’s specialists performed comprehensive renovation of 139 substations of 35-110 kV, repaired 3,839 transformer substations (TS) of 0.4-10 kV, and about 14.1 thousand km of overhead and cable lines of 0.4-110 kV.

 

From September 21 to October 2 all the branches of IDGC of Centre will be checked by the interdepartmental commission, which will include representatives of the territorial offices of Rostekhnadzor and regional offices of EMERCOM of Russia, regional administrations, and IDGC of Centre. In the absence of observations and deficiencies the branches will be awarded certificates of readiness for operation during the autumn-winter period.

In turn, the readiness of IDGC of Centre for autumn-winter operation period of 2015-2016 will be checked by the Commission the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. According to the schedule, the work should be completed by October 9. In the same period the company’s Certificate of readiness is expected to be presented.

Summing up the meeting, Oleg Budargin noted that the main challenge facing the power industry remains reliability of electricity supply, regardless of the macroeconomic situation and tariff decisions. "Reliability - it is primarily a reliable team. I thank the leadership of IDGC of Centre and branches for the preservation of professionals in the company. It is thanks to them and their daily work good performance was achieved in the first half of the year and there is confidence in stable operation through the forthcoming autumn-winter period," added Head of "Rosseti".
