IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division completed the reconstruction of the 110/6 kV Substation "Tambov #8" - the largest supply centre of the Northern part of Tambov. Modernization of the power facility was one of the most significant events of the company’s investment program over the past two years.
The North of Tambov is the most modern and dynamic part of the regional centre. In recent years there have been built several large micro-districts - "Moscow", "Rainbow", "Sunny", "Cozy" with concomitant social infrastructure (hospitals, schools, kindergartens), and in the near future it is planned to build a whole series of new housing complexes. The modernization of the substation "Tambov #8" was due to the need to meet the growing energy demand of the territory. In the course of its implementation the power facility capacity was increased from 16 MVA to 40 MVA, it was equipped with modern equipment, the latest protection and fire alarm systems. Now the substation meets the latest requirements in terms of reliability and quality of electricity supply to consumers.
"The Tambov region in recent years has demonstrated the dynamic development: large-scale housing programs are being implemented, facilities of the agricultural sector are being built. Our company makes every effort to provide at a faster pace needs of the region in the power capacity at the stage of construction of new facilities," stressed Deputy General Director for Capital Construction of IDGC of Centre Ruslan Mitrofanov.
