IDGC of Centre provided reliable power supply to a tourist gathering of young people of the Union State of Russia and Belarus

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division provided uninterrupted power supply to the tenth tourist gathering of students of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The event took place from 27 June to 2 July in the village of Vanina in Oktyabrsky district of the Kursk region, was attended by more than 400 boys and girls: 34 teams from Russia and 7 teams from the Republic of Belarus.

On the site of the built town in a picturesque location on the river "Seim" the young people competed in orienteering, pioneer ball, mini football, darts, arm wrestling, tug of war. They also participated in a master class on the art of pottery, in creative competitions for the best team cheer, the best tourist newspaper "Weekday of the rally" and the contest of local lore.

Power engineers did a great job to ensure reliable power supply of the grounds of the Youth Forum. Specialists of Kurskenergo prepared the necessary grid infrastructure: pulled power lines, installed outdoor lighting. Operating and maintenance personnel of Oktyabrsky Distribution Zone of Kurskenergo during the rally worked around the clock. They also around the clock monitored the status of substations, overhead and cable lines of 0.4-10 kV. Close interaction of the power engineers with bodies of federal power and municipal authorities, EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region was set up.

Reliable and high-quality work of the Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre was highly appreciated by the rally participants and representatives of the local authorities.

The excellent facilities provided by the organizers, well-planned preparation and provision helped ensure good mood, positive emotions from participating in such a large, interesting event," stated a representative of the Federal Centre "Youth Tourism and Local History" Anatoly Maslov.

"The professionalism and high technical equipment of crews allowed experts of Kurskenergo to provide reliable power supply of all the activities of the international tourist rally and maximum safety of children," stressed the head of administration of Oktyabrsky district of the Kursk region Anatoly Tsukanov.

The tourist gathering of students is one of the most important youth activities of the Union State. The rally has been held annually since 2006, alternately in the territory of Belarus and Russia, it is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. Every year it is attended by more than 400 boys and girls aged 14 to 17.
