IDGC of Centre conducts systematic work on the prevention of accidents that occur during loading and unloading operations in security zones of power lines. Doing this type of activity in the protected zones of power lines is prohibited, but citizens often neglect prohibitions. The greatest number of violations accounted for the warm season, when main volumes of agricultural, construction and other work related to sending and receiving large amounts of cargo are produced. Meanwhile, such actions may damage lines and cause power failure and accidents. To prevent negative consequences, IDGC of Centre implemented a range of special events in the regions of its service area.
Employees of Distribution Zones of the company’s branches do explanatory work with the population. They acquaint citizens with special conditions of use of land plots located within the boundaries of protected zones of power lines, defining, including a list of prohibited activities on them, and consequences that may occur if they are violated. Messages of similar content are published in the media. Newsletters are sent to managers of construction companies, agricultural enterprises, and other interested organizations. In addition, power engineers distribute issued by IDGC of Centre special memos devoted to compliance with the security measures being near power facilities.
District administrations are also involved in the prevention of electrical injuries, which spread information materials provided by power engineers through their channels. Themed movies are shown in cinemas of regions.
And employees of IDGC of Centre use original methods of informing. In the Voronezh region a regional competition of cartoons on the subject of electrical safety caused a lot of interest organized by the local branch of the company in conjunction with one of the most popular regional print media. Cartoons on the subject are also published in their region by power engineers of the Belgorod branch of the company. Such forms of information provision allow to interest a larger number of citizens, say the power engineers.
In the Lipetsk region power engineers are involved in the training of personnel working with lifting equipment. On the initiative of the branch "Lipetskenergo" the study of the rules governing the activities in protected zones of electrical networks is included in the course of electrical safety, organized for this category of professionals in training centres of the city of Lipetsk with the participation of Rostekhnadzor.
