IDGC of Centre and Siemens signed a cooperation agreement

Today, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Interregional Distribution Grid Company of Centre, JSC and "Siemens" LLC signed a cooperation agreement in the implementation of a comprehensive program of modernization of electric grids. The document was signed by General Director of IDGC of Centre Oleg Isaev and President of the company "Siemens" in Russia Dietrich Moeller.

The parties intend to develop cooperation in the field of modernization of the electric grid infrastructure, including the implementation of elements of intelligent networks (Smart Grid). The partners are considering reconstruction of existing feeding centres of IDGC of Centre, using technologies and equipment of "Siemens". The document also provides for the establishment of joint technological elements on the basis of proprietary solutions of IDGC of Centre and "Siemens", with which one can optimize the operation of electricity distribution networks, making it more efficient, and improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply to consumers. The initial stage of the joint work will be the analysis of the state of the existing networks of IDGC of Centre, taking into account the power industry development program, the regions where the company operates and the program of development of the energy system of Russia.

This Cooperation Agreement is valid for three years. Financial, economic and technical conditions of the partnership will be defined in separate agreements.
