In 2014 young power engineers of IDGC of Centre took part in several events significant for the entire electric grid complex

In order to build effective collaboration with young employees IDGC of Centre promotes the development of creative and scientific and technological initiatives that support the active participation of young professionals in the industrial, social and cultural life of the company.

In 2014 young power engineers participated in the social and innovation activities being of importance for the entire power grid complex.

This year in Smolensk there was the rally "Energy of Victory", during which the longest St. George’s ribbon in Russia was spread. The action was timed to coincide with the celebration of the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The event was attended by more than 500 young people from the staff of the Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre, students’ unions, representatives of public organizations, educational institutions and enterprises in the region.

On the anniversary of the company IDGC of Centre organized a large-scale social action in the Orel land "Power of generations", where the best representatives of youth and veterans’ councils from all regions, where the company operates, met to continue the tradition of the succession of generations and honour the veterans.

In 2014 the youth policy of IDGC of Centre took vector for the implementation of innovative technologies in the production activity. Specialists of IDGC of Centre participated in the International Conference Startup Village in the "Skolkovo". As part of a packed program the young professionals of IDGC of Centre were able to assess the best technology startups - the activities of companies that are in the initial stage of their activities, to learn the tools of public and private support for innovative companies and young researchers.

Also, employees of IDGC of Centre for the second time took part in the International Forum of Young Power Engineers "Forsage - 2014", which was held from 14 to 18 July 2014 in the Kaluga region. IDGC of Centre introduced a team of 12 people. Head of "Rosatom" Sergey Kiriyenko visited the Forum, who at a meeting with the participants noted proactive work of the team of IDGC of Centre in the online game dedicated to energy efficiency, and awarded the team with a ball of the World Cup, brought from Brazil.

In the framework of the International Electricity Forum RUGRIDS-ELECTRO representatives of IDGC of Centre spoke about key projects working with educational institutions in the field of training of future specialists of the electric grid complex. On the same day under the section "Youth Policy of "Russian Grids"" the solemn rewarding of participants and finalists of a contest of projects and project ideas on the subject of the electric grid complex "From idea to implementation". Among others had the project "Keeping the reliability of electricity supply to consumers while taking transformers down for backup to reduce no-load losses" was presented at the contest by Alexey Magon from IDGC of Centre. General Director of JSC "Russian Grids" Oleg Budargin congratulated and rewarded contestants.
