More than 11 thousand employees of IDGC of Centre were trained and improved their skills in the first half of 2014

More than 11 thousand people had their training, retraining and skills improvement in IDGC of Centre in the first half of this year; more than 37 million rubles were spent on the training. 2,222 people successfully passed refresher courses, 265 workers received professional retraining, and 3,360 people had short-term vocational training.

IDGC of Centre continuously improves professional skills and knowledge of its employees. Due to the fact that by the number of occupational hazards and risks associated with the profession, the power industry is the third of Russian industries, the company focuses on training and education of workers in the field of RTN and programs related to safety. The key training areas: retraining courses for operators, Distribution Zones, services of measurement and metrology, services of relay protection and automation, substation maintenance electricians, electricians of first responding and mobile crews, electricians servicing distribution grids.

IDGC of Centre actively develops intra-corporate training based on its own classrooms and training centres for staff. Availability of training classrooms allows to quickly train a large number of employees in various branches of targeted programs to eliminate the lack of knowledge and practical skills.

In the first half of the year 5,586 employees of the company had their intra-corporate training.

In addition, IDGC of Centre has 3 licensed training centres: PEE "Voronezh Training Centre "Energetic", PEE "Orel Training Centre" and PE "Tver Training Centre". The training centres operate classes of theoretical training and safety, laboratories and simulators.

IDGC of Centre for many years successfully cooperates with the leading universities in the country, teaching and educational institutions: Ivanovo State Power Engineering Institute, the Higher School of Economics (Moscow), Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Interdisciplinary Institute of Advanced Studies (St. Petersburg) and other educational institutions.

The Company's employees are sent for training under the President's program of management training to the main institutions of higher education, including the National Research University MPEI.

Until the end of the year over 20 thousand power engineers (taking into account the internal training) will be trained at IDGC of Centre.
