Specialists of IDGC of Centre are completing preparatory measures to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to polling stations in a single day of voting. September 14 elections will be held in all 11 regions of the Central Federal District (CFD), where the company operates. Five regions will be covered by them completely: in the Voronezh, Kursk, Orel and Lipetsk regions heads of subjects will be elected, in the Bryansk region - to the Regional Duma. In addition, in all the regions there will be a series of elections at the local level. In total, on the election day the power engineers of IDGC of Centre will provide overall energy supply to around six thousand voting stations.
Now experts from the branches of the company have already completed extraordinary inspections of electrical installations, which will supply electricity. Power supply circuit for social facilities, as well as centers of radio and television were additionally tested. Maintenance checks and availability to use backup power supplies were verified. Additional briefings are carried out with the staff, first responding and restoration crews have more resources.
In the branches of IDGC of Centre, working in regions, where elections will be held at the regional level, September 14 they will operate on high alert mode. In order to bring the power supply circuit to a state of maximum security all planned repairs will be cancelled. In the workplaces around the clock duty of technical managers and specialists, operating and maintenance personnel will be organized.
In case of need to work on the elimination of possible technological failures of power supply in the regions of IDGC of Centre’s service area in the single day of voting about five thousand professionals and more than 400 units of machinery can be attracted.
