IDGC of Centre promotes the socio-economic development of the Lipetsk region

3 September 2014

In the second half of this year the Priority investment projects of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division will be the reconstruction of the 110/10/6 kV Substation "Southwest" and the 110 kV Substation "Pipe 2", as well as the construction of the 110 kV Substation "Christmas". Implementation of these projects will further enhance the reliability of the region’s power supply and socio-economic development.

In the second half of this year the power engineers will spend 8.3 million rubles on the final phase of the reconstruction of the 110/10/6 kV Substation "Southwest" in Lipetsk, which includes expansion of the substation with the installation of the third transformer of 40 MVA. The increase in power of the substation will improve the quality of power supply to customers and meet the growing energy needs of the urban infrastructure.

The upgrade of the Lipetsk 110 kV Substation "Pipe 2" with the installation of additional sections of busbars is designed to provide an opportunity for connection to the grid of IDGC of Centre facilities of large domestic companies for the production of paints and varnishes for industrial business of LLC "Petrocom-Lipetsk". This technical solution will contribute to the development of the adjacent part of the city. The power facility is scheduled to be commissioned in 2017. The branch will spend about 24 million rubles on the substation modernization in the second half of the year.

One of the most important long-term projects of the branch, the realization of which the power engineers started this year, is the construction of the fixed 110 kV Substation "Christmas" with two transformers with a capacity of 25 MVA. The substation will be the power source for the Industrial Park of LLC "Motorinvest" under construction in Krasninsky district of the Lipetsk region. The power engineers will invest 110.1 million rubles in the construction of the new power facility until the end of the year. Currently, the energy needs of the first stage of production and its further development are provided by a mobile 110 kV substation of Lipetskenergo.

No less important facility for investment of the Lipetsk branch in the current year will be the site for a mobile 35 kV substation for power supply of the satellite town of Romanovo under construction in the Lipetsk region covering an area of about 5,700 for about 130,000 people to live in.

Overall, in 2014 1.78 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the investment program, formed according to the technical policy of the company and correlated with administrative plans for the development of the Lipetsk region.

"The Lipetsk region is one of the fastest growing regions in the service area of IDGC of Centre, so the energy system of the region should always be ready both for high loads associated with new connections of customers and to impacts of elements. An indispensable condition to ensure stable operation of the power complex is, in particular, the timely implementation of the investment program, including both the reconstruction of existing facilities and construction of new power centres. Despite the changes in the legislation, suggesting retention of electricity tariffs at the minimum level, as early as in 2015 on the map of the Lipetsk region there will be new power facilities," stressed Deputy Director for Capital Construction of Lipetskenergo Vyacheslav Gunkin.
