"Russian Grids" to develop cooperation with "Russian Agricultural Bank" and "Rostec"

August 7 a meeting of the Management Board of JSC "Russian Grids" under the leadership of Chairman Oleg Budargin took place. The meeting discussed a number of topical issues related to improving the efficiency of the electric grid complex of the country in the current foreign policy and economic conditions, and it was decided to approve the list of priorities to be included in the Long-term Development Program of JSC "Russian Grids", which will be considered in September at a meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Proposals on the list of key tasks, including measures to strengthen management relations in the Group of Companies and creation of mechanisms of strict control over the financial, technological and executive discipline, were supported by members of the Management Board, as well by CEOs of subsidiaries of JSC "Russian Grids" - Moscow United Electric Grid, Lenenergo, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Northern Caucasus taking part in the meeting. In this regard, they were instructed by the end of August to finalize all aspects and provisions of the Long-term Development Program.

The Management Board paid particular attention to the discussion of directions to support by the Group of Companies of "Russian Grids" domestic food industry and agricultural producers. Oleg Budargin requested as soon as possible to ensure conclusion of an agreement with the authorities of subjects of the Russian Federation and agricultural enterprises to support domestic producers, as well as to sign a cooperation agreement with OJSC "Russian Agricultural Bank".

These agreements should include a number of measures, including the maximum simplification of the grid connection procedure and minimizing connection fees to the grid for enterprises of the industry, installment payments, supporting tariff decisions, as well as a high level of synchronization of plans of the subjects of the Russian Federation to establish industrial parks of the food industry in accordance with the location scheme of "available" feeding centres.

As part of the agenda the Management Board discussed the intensification of efforts to promote import substitution and modernization of the electric grid. Managers of the technical unit were tasked to analyze the possibility of organizing a service of imported equipment installed at electric grid facilities by Russian companies and in-house specialists of electric grid companies of the Group "Russian Grids" throughout the life cycle of the equipment.

In addition, Head of "Russian Grids" Oleg Budargin instructed to strengthen the interaction with GC "Rostec" on how to reduce dependence of power grid companies on import of equipment, technical devices, components and localization of production of high-tech electrical equipment, materials and components in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The Management Board determined plans for dealing with OJSC "Russian Railways", OJSC "Gazprom", and OJSC "Transneft" with a proposal to synchronize the construction of infrastructure, including electric grid facilities within the same sites throughout the Russian Federation.
