IDGC of Centre connects a new residential development to electric grids in the Tambov region

10 July 2014

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division continue to work on the electric grid connection of a new residential micro-district, which is being built in the village of Novopokrovka in Mordovsky district of the Tambov region in the framework of the federal target program "Housing". It will house citizens who lost two years ago their homes because of the hurricane that struck the region. For them, a total of 26 semi-detached houses and one triplex will be built.

To ensure the grid connection of the new micro-district the power engineers in 2013 under the investment program performed the installation of a 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation of 250 kVA and constructed over three kilometres of overhead power lines. The process of connecting to the grid began earlier this year and continues as the delivery of houses in operation. Completion of all the work is scheduled by the end of 2014. Currently, most of the facilities have already been provided with electricity.

"Performing the grid connection of the new residential neighborhood in the Tambov region, the experts of IDGC of Centre contribute to the implementation of the federal target program "Housing", the solution of pressing social problems of the region. For hundreds of citizens, who were deprived of the roof over their heads with the bad weather, to regain home means, in fact, going back to normal, familiar, comfortable life. Realizing this, our employees are doing their best to perform all work on connecting new homes to the electric grid with quality, in strict compliance with the set terms," said Head of Grid Connection Department of IDGC of Centre Eduard Rakovsky.
