At extremely low temperatures the power grid of IDGC of Centre operates in a stable way

30 January 2014

Currently there is strong frost on the territory of all branches of IDGC of Centre. Well-timed work performed by power engineers to prepare for the autumn-winter peak loads did not allow the cold weather to affect the reliability of the power grid of the company.

To ensure uninterrupted power supply in the service area of IDGC of Centre mobile crews, vehicles and special machinery have been brought in a state of constant readiness for possible emergency and restoration operations. The operational situation is being continuously monitored. To ensure reliable power supply all operational switchings have been minimized, more frequent inspections of equipment are performed with checking the oil level in the oil-filled equipment, oil pressure in the high-voltage leads-in, status of heating devices and pole and stick insulation.

The work of power facilities is supervised around the clock.

In case of emergency situations mobile crews are constantly available that as soon as possible can come to any place of a failure and begin eliminating it. At present, the power system is operating normally, there are no interruptions of customers and social facilities.

IDGC of Centre continues to operate in the mode of increased responsibility. In the branches of the energy company the around the clock duty of responsible officers and maintenance crews has been established, and security measures at power facilities have been taken. To promptly resolve technological violations contacts have been set and interaction has been practiced with local executive authorities, territorial forestry enterprises, fire departments of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry.
