For quick restoration of power supply Yaroslavl power engineers have increased the number of repair crews to 62

13 December 2013

Power engineers of the Yaroslavl branch of IDGC of Centre continue to restore electricity supply, disturbed by bad weather in some districts of the Yaroslavl region.

Work to repair power lines and connect transformer substations has been under way since 6 a. m. For the quick restoration of electricity supply in the districts of the Yaroslavl region the power engineers have increased the number of crews. Currently the work involves 62 crews, 310 people and 61 necessary vehicles. Assistance is being provided by federal state unitary enterprise «Forest Service», regional offices of EMERCOM and district administrations.

The repair work is complicated with storm wind with its speed reaching 18 — 20 metres per second, the formation of frost on the branches of trees and power lines. The greatest number of outages occurred in Pereslavlsky municipal district. Here, basically, the damage to power lines occurred in the forests where access of vehicles is difficult because of fall of trees. There is a temporary information centre in the district: via the telephone number (48535) 3-52-80 you can find information about the progress and completion time estimate. The company also operates its hotline of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115 (around the clock, toll-free).

The work is being done around the clock and will continue until full power supply is restored in the region.
