Tver branch of IDGC of Centre has been put on special operation mode

Due to the deterioration of weather conditions — wet snow, freezing rain, in the Tver region IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division introduced special operation mode.

In the coming days the strengthening of the western, north-western wind with gusts up to 15-20 m/s is expected, in some areas there will be possibly wet snow.

Under the control of the operational headquarters of IDGC of Centre and in cooperation with the territorial office of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Tverenergo’s power engineers are continuously eliminating effects of the weather. Operational staff has been relocated to the affected areas. Work is being performed by 161 crews of 582 people with all necessary special vehicles. Power supply of social facilities is being restored in the first place. For work own forces have been mobilized, and power engineers of contractors have been brought in. Assistance in the disaster relief is being provided by power engineers of the Smolensk and Orel branch of IDGC of Centre.

Work will be performed around the clock until complete restoration of power supply in the region.

For operational awareness and consumer convenience temporary information centres have been deployed where you can get the up-to-date information on the restoration status in the affected areas. Via the around the clock direct phone line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115 calls are forwarded to specialists of Distribution Zones.
