Power engineers of IDGC of Centre have completed eliminating the massive outages

The power engineers of IDGC of Centre have completed eliminating the massive outages caused by the influence of the cyclone that hit the north-western part of the Central Federal District (Kostroma, Smolensk, Tver and Yaroslavl regions).

Currently, work is continuing to restore electricity supply in separate sparsely populated areas and private households, to repair power lines of electricity supply backup, rounds and inspections of electrical installations in order to identify threatening to fall trees and other disorders caused by the cyclone. The work is being performed in a continuous operation mode and will continue until complete elimination of consequences of the natural disasters.

To eliminate the effects of the cyclone the power engineers of IDGC of Centre are being assisted by other subsidiaries included in the structure of JSC «Russian Grids» — IDGC of North-West, IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, branches of JSC «FGC UES», as well as contractors.

In total over 1,088 people were involved in the restoration activities, 298 crews and 305 vehicles were engaged.

The Kostroma, Smolensk, Tver and Yaroslavl branches of IDGC of Centre continue to operate on high alert, which will be maintained until all preventive measures are taken.
