IDGC of Centre has started performing the functions of a supplier of last resort in the Kursk, Bryansk and Orel regions

Today at 00:00 retail departments of IDGC of Centre in Kursk, Orel and Bryansk regions have started their work.

According to the Order of the Ministry of Energy of Russia # 24–29 from 24.01.2013, six retail companies lost their status of an electricity supplier of last resort, the functions of half of which were transferred to IDGC of Centre from February 1, 2013.

In record time, the company’s specialists had taken a set of measures to organize retail departments, including the creation of full workplaces and IT-infrastructure.

More than 1,200 employees of the retail companies, which had lost the status of a supplier of last resort, were employed in IDGC of Centre with full preservation of their employment agreement conditions.

large-scale media campaign was held in the mainstream media of the Kursk, Bryansk and Orel regions. IDGC of Centre’s staff performed explanatory work to the public, that the changes, which come into force on February 1, 2013, will affect only the details of their account for payment for electricity consumption, the cost of which will remain unchanged.

All activities were carried out according to the schedule approved by Acting General Director of IDGC of Centre Oleg Isaev, who personally performed operational management over the activities for the taking up the functions of a supplier of last resort by the grid company. Governors of these regions supported and provided full cooperation to perform the planned activities.

From today, IDGC of Centre carries out all activities of electricity retail for businesses, organizations and residents of the Kursk, Bryansk and Orel regions.
