IDGC of Centre – prize winner of the XII Kursk Korensk Fair

As a result of the XII Interregional Universal Wholesale and Retail Kursk Korensk Fair the Kursk branch of the Company was awarded the diploma of the prize winner in the nomination "For the implementation of innovative technologies and scientific developments". In a solemn ceremony Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Mikhailov handed over the diploma of the exhibition to Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division director Alexander Pilyugin.

IDGC of Centre has been participating in the Korensk Fair for many years. Especially for the XII Fair a booth was designed with three dashboards, animated presentations on the topics: energy conservation for residential customers, the benefits of automated metering of electricity for residential customers of the retail market, as well as energy efficiency in industry and utilities.

The Company's booth was provided with information about new technologies and modern equipment, materials used in the reconstruction and construction of energy facilities. These include self-supporting and insulated 0.4-10 kV wires, high-voltage cables insulated with crosslinked polyethylene, gas-insulated equipment, microprocessor-based relay protection and automation. The power engineers also informed the visitors of the booth on projects for energy conservation and energy efficiency being implemented in the distribution grid complex, the benefits of advanced metering systems. And the devices that specialists of IDGC of Centre use in their every day work were also of interest. The practical use of thermal imaging, ultrasonic thickness gauge and the ground-resistance tester was demonstrated to all comers.

Traditionally close to the exposure there was Customer Service Center (CSC) of the branch working on-site, equipped with everything necessary for autonomous operation in the most remote corners of the region. For the convenience of the CSC’s specialists the Internet access was provided for their work.

During the Fair 37 people visited the CSC who were interested in the grid connection process of electric installations to the networks of Kurskenergo. Each customer of CSC was given a memo containing details of the connection, as well as a list of necessary information and documents for its implementation.

In its work IDGC of Centre is focused on maximum comfort and safety of each consumer. Within the framework of the Company's technical policy all innovative technologies and scientific developments are carefully studied, the use of which may increase the reliability of the electric distribution grid sector at all process stages.

Summing up the Fair, Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Mikhailov thanked IDGC of Centre for active participation and everyday fine work.

The XII Kursk Korensk Fair is a hallmark and a key indicator of the investment climate in the region. The Fair worked from 15 to 17 June at the walls of the ancient monastery of Native wilderness, having become a traditional venue for business meetings and negotiations, showing the latest achievements and technologies of different countries. This year, the expositions were presented by the participants, who had already become permanent partners, from Belarus, Moldova, the regions of Ukraine (Kharkiv, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Sumy regions), Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Serbia, Abkhazia, and Kazakhstan.

The Korensk Fair - 2012 was attended by more than 1,200 businesses from Russia, CIS and abroad. Within the Fair was the Srednerussky Economic Forum was held for the first time. The main objective of the forum - to attract the attention of government institutions and the business community to the Kursk region, to demonstrate and make available to the public the best innovations and projects.
