Elections in 11 regions of the service area of IDGC of Centre passed without any power interruptions

IDGC of Centre ensured reliable electricity supply of polling stations on the Election Day of President of the Russian Federation on March 4, 2012. Please, be reminded that power engineers of the Company on that important for the state day operated in the mode of increased responsibility to ensure the smooth operation of energy facilities of IDGC of Centre. Particular attention was paid to the power supply of stations, equipped with electronic voting.

Just on the Election Day 386 mobile crews, 77 rescue and recovery crews of high-voltage lines Service were on duty. 90 crews of high mobility of 500 people were on duty round the clock provided with 156 vehicles. 678 standby power sources were prepared, emergency stock was 100% completed.

On the eve power engineers performed activities aimed at improving the electric grid reliability. Together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations additional trainings were conducted, as well as a series of meetings was held at which the parties identified areas of cooperation at possible technological failures. In the event of power outages in the networks of regional adjacent organizations IDGC of Centre was ready to allocate their resources for the rapid restoration of electricity supply.

In addition, on the site of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division an additional training took place in which power engineers worked through their actions in case of a possible power outage of a polling station.

The Direct Power Hot Line at 8800 50 50 115 operated round the clock, calling which it was possible to obtain any information relating to electricity supply. The manning of the Call Center on the Election Day was increased up to 32 people. The Direct Power Hot Line of IDGC of Centre March 4 received only 20 complaints from citizens concerning power interruptions, which indicates the quality of the power engineers’ work.
