Following the results of the 4th annual IR case contest, conducted by Interfax Business Service (IBS) and the magazine «Securities Market», IDGC of Centre (MICEX, RTS — MRKC) case took first place. Second place — Severstal case, and the jury gave third place to the company Leasing IT.
This year’s contest was dedicated to the topic «IR in the era of permanent crisis». Five IR-cases took part in it, presented by experts of financial, metallurgical, energy and agricultural industries. The contest’s works were estimated using the following criteria: novelty, efficiency, methodological value and subjective opinion.
IDGC of Centre prepared the case «The implementation of efficient IR-strategy to attract core investors and raise the liquidity of the Company’s shares», which included guidelines for implementing the IR-strategy of IDGC of Centre and the most efficient approaches that had already been implemented, which enabled the Company to achieve significant success in cooperation with representatives of the investment community and shareholders.
All cases that are the winners will be published in the magazine «Securities Market», and will be used as training materials by the Institute of Financial Markets Development for Investor Relations specialists.

The annual IR case contest among IR-specialists in Russia and CIS was founded in 2008 by IBS and the magazine «Securities Market» with the support of the Association of Financial Communications and Investor Relations Development, the MICEX Group and the Institute of Financial Markets Development. In 2010, the contest received its international status: the London Stock Exchange and the British Investor Relations Community started supporting the contest. In total for four years of holding the contest 54 IR cases have been presented to the jury.
