Borisov District Elecrical Networks of Belgorodenergo reconstructed more than eight miles of power lines in the district town

19 August 2011 Power men of Borisov District Electrical Networks of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division completed the reconstruction of the power lines in the village of Borisovka. More than eight miles of power lines 0.4-10 kV, including lines of street lighting, were reconstructed with the use of new technologies and materials.
Upgraded power lines were installed on the streets of Graivoronskaya, Gagarin and Kovalevka. Within the modernization of street lighting automated street lighting control boxes were installed to manage the lighting level by switching on a different number of lighting fixtures, to set schedules for automatic switching on lighting with onset of darkness. In addition, on the streets of Borisovka modern electricity meters and more than 60 HPS energy-saving lamps were installed. Such lamps are resistant to the environment, easy to use, provide powerful and gentle light beam.

To meet increasing needs for power by the housing sector in the new regional center, increasing the transmission capacity of networks all work on reconstruction and new construction were carried out using new technologies and materials, in particular the modern highly reliable self-supporting insulated wires, the life cycle of which reaches forty years. It has a high level of safety in operation, resistance to extreme temperatures.

According to the head of the Borisov DEN, Evgeny Kaznacheyev, a fundamental change in the scheme of electric networks and complex reconstruction significantly improved the quality of electricity supply to residents of the village, which is especially important in autumn and winter.
